Moscow introduces check-in system for nightclubs to fight COVID-19

MOSCOW, Oct 19 (PRIME) -- A check-in system for venues working after 12 a.m. has started working in Moscow with visitors and employees being permitted to enter only upon registration of their phone number, according to information obtained by PRIME on Monday.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin ordered that starting from Monday access for employees and visitors of discos, nightclubs, and bars, open from 12 a.m. till 6 a.m. is permitted only upon registration of a phone number by a QR code or an SMS. If a visitor is later diagnosed with COVID-19, the others will be quickly notified of the fact to be checked for the virus.

Such venues must receive a unique QR code, which is to be placed at the entrance.

The experiment will last until November 1.
